Apologies if this is not relevant. But I had similar problem until I cleaned the rear lens element of the lens I was had attached to the camera

Many years ago after my first sensor clean - some marks were on my viewing monitor

I find wet cleans are now rarely necessary - even with a dust prone Z7 and living in a dusty area.

Instead I use https://www.amazon.co.uk/Eyelead-SCK-1-Cleaning-Olympus-Assorted/dp/B0046VBEE0 - there are other similar products.

The basic principle is simple. The underside of the tool is slightly sticky and on gentle impact lifts dust and small strands straight off the sensor.

The small strips in the illustration gently peel apart revealing a very sticky surface on one strip.

The dust on the tool is then easily transferred to the very sticky surface on one inner surface. The second strip is then placed back over the very sticky surface with the dust on it. I then mark the outer surface where the last a lot of dust was placed.

With the camera sensor exposed, laid on a window still in a strong side sunlight I find it easy to see where dust et cetera actually is.

Several specks of dust can be lifted off the sensor during a single clean.

I cannot remember how much I paid – likely under £30. There are enough strips in the kit I bought to last me at least two/three years - probably for around 500 "dab" cleans.
